Does this exist?

I want to be a tumblr theme decorator.

I’ve always admired good design, and when I see tumblrs like Starious and FYEAHWESCHAN, I get really inspired by the way they’ve customized their themes (or in the case of Starious, actually designed/created them).

Unfortunately, I don’t have the CSS/HTML knowledge to actually design my own tumblr theme, but I really enjoy customizing them. This is probably the reason why I have 3 seperate tumblr blogs >_< I enjoy trying out and customizing themes to my own taste.

Ooo la la ~ // via Musings from the Corner

My original tumblr, Musings from the Corner, was the one I’ve probably spent time on - it took me forever to actually find a theme I liked. Because I have no life, I was spending hours in front of the computer trolling the Theme Garden for cute themes. Most of the themes I liked I had to pay for, and most of the free themes weren’t cute enough/customizable enough.

Until I found the Bad B!tch theme by lipglossnluxury. I think that was my eureka moment.

The only things that annoy me about this theme is that space on the side bar is limited, and that photo sets and video posts don’t show up for some reason. I’d rather not reinstall my theme and lose all the changes I’ve made to it, so I’ve had to live with it. Most of the time, it’s not a problem, and there are ways you can work around it.

This blog didn’t take me nearly as much time as my first tumblr, mainly because I already had a theme I wanted to try out. Also, I kind of just made this blog just so I could try out the Billy Music Player, and it would have been pointless to have both the Streampad player and the Billy player on my first tumblr. Then it just kind of got repurposed as my personal blog :3

So far, I’m really happy with this blog, mainly because of all the sidebar space and the fact that it does show photo sets and video posts.

And finally, my most recent tumblr, Letter to the Wind ~

I only really got this tumblr because I wanted to try out the Oukashou theme from Starious. I saw this theme used on this blog, and I really liked how she customized the theme. So I put my own twist on what her theme used to look like (unfortunately, she’s switched themes since then).

I really like this theme because of how elegant and simple it is, and it allows for pretty good customization. I also added the Billy Music player to this theme ^^

Last but not least, we have this theme:

Which when compared to this….

….it’s certainly a step up from what it used to be.

I offered to redo the theme for this blog (owned by my friend) mainly because:

a) I was bored >_<
b) I thought he could do better with the blog design o_o
c) I like customizing themes ^3^
d) All of the above ^^

If you circled d), you’re completely right. And honestly, that typography image took FOREVER on Photoshop >_< Arranging text to fit an silhouette of someone breakdancing is a bitch.

(P.S. Adrian, if you delete that theme, I will cut your balls off. Just saying.)

Anyway, it was an interesting experience designing a theme for someone other than myself, and I wouldn’t mind doing it again. So, who wants to trust me with their email and password? Anyone? LOL
